Industrial Custom Products recommends QuickTurn Vacuum Forming as an attractive alternative to injection molding to reduce customer product costs.
Minneapolis, Minnesota, May 11, 2009 -.Industrial Custom Products (ICP), Minneapolis, MN is using its QuickTurn Vacuum Forming production process to reduce product costs for customers.
At a time when economic conditions are challenging, ICP is recommending vacuum forming as an alternative manufacturing process to injection molding for a customer that is a worldwide designer and manufacturer of off road vehicles. This recommendation saved the customer significant money in tooling costs.
Shorter product life cycles are also leading manufacturers to choose vacuum forming over injection molding because of the lower tooling costs and the shorter development time to start production.

Industrial Custom Products’ innovative die cutting capability significantly reduces product costs for customers
Industrial Custom Products (ICP), Minneapolis, MN has been saving money for customers with their innovative die cutting capability. At a time when economic conditions are challenging, the ICP’s experts recommended die cutting a windshield instead of using the normal CNC routing process. As a result, an ICP customer that is a leading manufacturer of high quality ATV, snowmobile and motorcycle parts and accessories got a high quality product at a significantly lower price.

Industrial Custom Products earns Award of Excellence for third consecutive year
Industrial Custom Products, Minneapolis, Minnesota was awarded the 2008 Polaris Industries Award of Excellence on February 17, 2009. This Award was given by Polaris Industries to only eleven of the top 150 suppliers who achieved top performance in all three of these areas:
- Delivery - 99% or Better On -Time
- Quality – Achieving a reject rate of 100 parts per million or less
- Meeting or exceeding the annual cost reduction standards
