Thermoforming and Vacuum Forming Capabilities and Experience
Industrial Custom Products (ICP) is a first tier manufacturer of thermoformed and vacuum formed components. As an ISO Certified thermal forming company, ICP has been producing high quality thermoformed products and vacuum formed parts successfully since 1975. ICP has been manufacturing OEM and custom components since 1955.
ICP does custom thermoforming of components and manufactures custom vacuum formed parts.
- Thermoforming parts is a process where heated thermoplastic sheets are molded by using vacuum pressure to conform the sheet to a mold. ICP can use thermoforming solutions to solve your component challenges.
- Vacuum forming consists of heating a thermoplastic sheet to make it pliable and then applying vacuum and/or pressure so the sheet conforms to a male or female mold depending on the characteristics of the part.
The Benefits of Thermoform Plastics or Vacuum Form Plastics vs. other Plastic Manufacturing Processes
Thermoforming is a quick, efficient and low cost manufacturing process. Today, many customers are choosing to save on tooling costs by vacuum forming new plastic components instead of using more expensive plastic manufacturing processes, such as injection molding. Some advantages of using the thermoforming process over other plastic manufacturing processes are:
- Quick, efficient and low cost
- Lower tooling costs
- Lead times for tooling and production are usually much shorter than other processes
- Thermoforming or vacuum forming can replace metal or wood products to lower costs.
ICP is ISO 9001:2008 Registered and RoHS Compliant. This means your order is produced accurately and On Time. Our Just In Time Delivery Scheduling, the ICP QuickTurn Program is available to minimize your inventory and warehouse needs and save money
